2 Story Living Room

For this living room we shopped for 2 days and worked on it for 4.  We stayed up every night until 2 in the morning.  It was exhausting!!  So much work!!!!  It was worth it now that its done.
Day 1:  Lori rolling on the paint. (Lisa rolled the bottom)

This is day 2:  Putting up the boards

Lori's neighbor helped us hang the high boards.

Day 3:  We went and got the entertainment center.
 Day 4:
Finishing the edging.  My legs were KILLING me going up and down the ladder so many times.
I wanted a big "B" for Bettridge on my door.  We couldn't find any big ones.  I went to the Wood Connection and they wanted $50 for one about this size.  Are you kidding me!?  We were at Hobby lobby and we found these two D's in the clearance isle.  I think it looks great!  Lori thought of it.  She's the best.  Our minds work better when we are together!

I had this door before that I got for $5.  I hated the color but Matt never wants to paint wood.  I painted the other side so he couldn't get mad at me.  I will never switch it but I didn't paint the nice side.

For the Entertainment Center we went to Downeast.  This guy is new there.  Everyone knows us because we shop a lot.  They call us the twinners.  Anyway, he gave us 20% off everything!!  It was awesome!  It's a buffet and two china hutches.  Brad made the bridge to go across and then we put chevron material from Hobby Lobby in the back to make it look like it came together.  Most of the things in the hutches are from TJMaxx.  Some of it I already had.

The end table I also got from Downeast.  I love the white!  I looked forever for an entertainment center that was white.  RCWilley doesn't sell them.  And they are over priced anyway.  I even went to Osmond Design and they only had 2 white ones.  They didn't fit a 70" TV and they were double the price of mine.

The brown chairs I had before.  The star burst mirrors and lamp I got at TJMaxx.  The clock is from Hobby Lobby and the picture frame is from Target.  I had a girl in my neighborhood photo shop our wedding picture.  We didn't get many pictures of our wedding.  They had the wrong date on the bottom and people were walking behind us.  At least I have one now I like!

These are called wall flats from http://www.inhabitliving.com/  They used to be $4 a square but now they have become popular and cost a lot more.  They have a lot more styles now since I bought them 2 1/2 years ago.  I used to have them painted different colors so I had to paint them back white.  They fit perfect in my cut out! Lori and I used a step stool on the ledge to put them up.  We only had an inch extra before the stool fell off.  It was a little scary!  Kaylynn kept saying, "Why can't we hire someone to do this that isn't our family!  I don't want you to die!!"

I got this from the Downeast clearance center a long time ago for $20.  It used to have mirrors in it that were broken.  We took the mirrors out and put material in them.  All the material was from Hobby Lobby.

I got this material from Buythepiece.com  I found a fabric store in SLC called Calico Corner.  The material  was crazy expensive.  They give you huge samples with the name of the material on price on the back.  I googled it and found it way cheaper on line.  I brought the sample piece home.  I held it up to my piano room paint and it matched.  That is how I picked the paint color.  I carried it down the hall and into my big living room.  I had to order 12 yards to make the curtains go 2 stories.  My ceiling is 18 feet tall.  When the material came it was cut at 8 and 4 yards.  I was so excited when it came and then so sad.  The curtains weren't up when Matt got home because I had to send it back.  2 weeks later it came in.  I put grommets on the top and sewed them.  I pretty much love them.  I could have just put the curtains over the bottom windows but I have always hated my 4 windows.  If they were bigger or closer together they wouldn't have bothered me.  Now with the wood on the wall and curtains the windows look better.
This column is kind of annoying but now I like it.  It used to be sheet rock painted tan with rounded corners.  Now I love it!
It's all done!!!
